2. In order to investigate the potential viral aetiology of T1D, partners examined patient samples for the presence of enteroviruses in relation to the appearance of islet autoantibodies, dietary intervention, maternal type 1 diabetes and clinical symptoms.

Pour étudier l'étiologie virale potentielle du DID, les partenaires du projet ont examiné des échantillons de patients afin de détecter la présence d'entérovirus en rapport avec l'apparition d'auto-anticorps des îlots, d'intervention diététique, de diabète maternel de type 1 et de symptômes cliniques.
